Godin LGXT Solid Body 3-Voice Electric Guitar (Black Pearl)

This review is from: Godin LGXT Solid Body 3-Voice Electric Guitar (Black Pearl)I got my LGX-SA about 4 years ago and it has been an awesome guitar. The best part about it is people seeing it and going: "what is that?" They play it and go: "wow, how come i've never heard of this brand?" The guitar looks beautiful and plays great. It plays way different than a Gibson or Fender. I would relate it to a PRS or Parker. Some say its a little harder to play than a Gibson, but once you get use to it, it becomes very comfortable. The acoustic pic up sounds pretty good. I wouldnt say its the best pic up out there, but its nice to have on the guitar and is highly adjustable. You can get a pretty good sound out of it depending on what amp you are using. My guitar has the custom seymour duncans on them. You can get a really nice clean sound out of them, but if you want a heavier sound you can get pretty strong EMG type sound as well. Very versatile pick ups. The only thing I dont like about this guitar is the weight. Its pretty heavy and if you dont have a little muscle on your shoulder you may get tired after a while. I have never used the synth on this guitar. I didnt buy it for the synth, I bought it for the overall quality and beauty. I will however try it out once I can afford the stupid Roland thing that costs an arm and a leg....

This review is from: Godin LGXT Solid Body 3-Voice Electric Guitar (Black Pearl)All I can say is WOW! This is an excellent guitar. I call it the swiss army knife of guitars. With the 3 voices the sky is the limit. I haven't used the synth access yet even though that is one of the reasons I got it. I do like the combinations with the electic PU's and acoustic. It gets a pretty good acoustic sound with DR Zebra strings run through a BBE Acoustimax preamp. Then you can bring in the electric with some effects to fill out the sound. The Seymour Duncan PUs are awesome with single coil split. I cant wait to get a GR-55 and check out the synth access. The action is exellent. Did I mention tremolo. I told you its the swiss army knife of guitars. If you need to cover a large range of sounds individualy or all at one time this would be your guitar. I don't think you'll be disappointed. The craftsmanship is excellent!...
